The Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care has selected Early Childhood Associates to host a Leadership Institute for Early Educators in the Spring of 2015.  The state-wide Institute will consist of four in-depth professional development training workshops at a central location within the state that will support a cohort of community leaders to learn about the following areas:

–        Building local systems that support high-quality early education and care;

–        Developing local collaboration and consensus around a birth to third grade agenda;

–        Increasing the alignment of standards, curriculum, and assessment for children birth to grade 3; and

–        Defining system and child outcomes to inform local policies and practice over time.

Over 100 administrators and leaders from throughout the mixed delivery system will be participating.  The Institute is one of several projects and initiatives funded by the Race to the Top – Early Learning Challenge Grant, which seek to advance a comprehensive approach to building an aligned birth to third grade system of early education and care.
