Systems Building

It takes more than education to help kids be ready for school—they also need strong support from their families and communities and a well-qualified early childhood workforce. A well-developed, dynamic strategic plan guides an effective early learning system; uses evidence of change to adjust the plan in order to meet the plan’s short- to long-term benchmarks; and to inform policy and practices.

ECA aims to enhance the reach and abilities of professionals who are integral to early childhood development at the organizational and system levels.  For the past decade, ECA has worked to: 1) enhance the skills and capacity of the Early Childhood Education (ECE) workforce and 2) expand access to high quality services for young children birth to five and their families.

We have successfully managed large scale multi-million-dollar to multi-year projects focused on coaching and mentoring in ECE settings, completing needs assessments and developing strategic plans to guide effective early learning systems, and developing statewide communication strategies for state Advisory Councils. Our team recognizes the value of effective collaborative partnerships for integrating and coordinating the delivery of education and care to young children and their families.
